spotify audiobooks

how it started.

I received this assignment during my Advertising Portfolios class in Spring 2023. The goal: advertise Spotify's new Audio Books feature in a fun and exciting way. I chose to use Spotify's witty brand voice - I'm a huge fan of their advertising, their copy specifically. They always find a witty and hilarious way to advertise their app, playlists, and Spotify Wrapped; a "repostable" way. Follow along to see the step-by-step.

the roughs.

Sometimes I start off by just shooting off a bunch of ideas straight off the keyboard. I decided to steal from Spotify's witty brand voice. Sometimes they like to roast people. Including Apple Music. 

Getting somewhere.

I brought some of the ideas into Canva to get a better visual feel and visualization of my vision. Visual? First up - shots fired at Apple Music. But I realized I needed a theme. So I chose "For all the people..." 

I really enjoyed the "For all the people" idea. I think Spotify is a brand that really communicates and talks to their customers and listeners. They have more of a personal feel than Apple Music does. Are you Spotify or Apple Music? Actually, don't answer that.
